My Top 5 Summer Nail Polishes

Hi everyone! So today I thought I would share with you my top 5 nail varnishes for summer. In the summer I tend to wear a lot of nail polish as i'm not allowed to wear any at school :( Hope you enjoy!

Rimmel 60 Seconds 430 Coralicious  I love this colour! I have done a little review HERE on it.  Its fairly long lasting on the nails and doesn't chip for a long time. The brush is quite wide which means its easy to apply on your nails. The colour is quite bright which means its perfect for a pop of colour in your outfit! You can buy this nail polish HERE from Boots at only £3.69
Nails Inc Atomic by Fabulous I have had this nail polish for a while now. I got it free with another Nails Inc nail polish from the Fabulous magazine in The Sun newspaper. The colour is gorgeous! It is a really bright orange shade which is great for summer to brighten up your outfit.  I wear this quite often in the summer as I really enjoy wearing the colour orange on my nails.
Jack Wills Nail Varnish in shade 'Jade' I got this from Jack Wills in a sale last year, it was reduced from £6 down to £3. The shade is a darker toned mint green colour. It goes great with any summer outfits and with a tan. I think it goes really well with a white top and denim shorts. The colour is long lasting and you only need 1 coat of it. I think any mint green colour works well in the summer, especially Mint Candy Apple by Essie.
MUA Nail Varnish in shade 'Natural Days' I have done a small review on this nail varnish HERE. The colour is a light pastel pink shade. I love MUA nail varnishes as they are really affordable at £1 each. They do many different shades which look great in the summer including 'Pistachio Ice Cream' which I also own. The formula I found is quite runny which means you do need to apply 2 or more coats of it.
Essie Nail Varnish in shade 'Lapiz Of Luxury'  This is my all time favourite nail polish. It is medium shade of blue which looks amazing in the summer and in all other seasons. The formula is also great as it is quite thick. The brush is wide which means it is easy to apply. It stays on your nails for a long time and doesn't chip unlike any other nail polishes. However Essie nail polishes are quite pricey at £7.99 but I feel they are worth the money. You can buy it HERE from Boots at £7.99

These are my 5 top summer nail polishes, hope you enjoyed reading!

Whats On My Nails #2

Hi everyone!, today i'm going to be showing you whats on my nails. Today I am wearing MUA nail varnish in 'Natural Days'

It is a light pastel pink shade and looks great for summer, especially with tanned skin! The formula of this I found is quite thin so you need to apply more than 1 coat to the nails. The packaging reminds me a lot like Essie nail varnishes, but a smaller version. It costs only £1 from Superdrug. You can buy this nail polish HERE. Overall I would rate this nail varnish 7/10

My Skincare Routine

Hi everyone, so today I thought i would share with you my skincare routine. On an everyday basis I change it up depending on whether I want to use a scrub or a facial wash. So here are the products that I use on my face.

Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Foaming Face Wash
I use this quite regularly on my face to keep it clean and healthy. The witch hazel ingredient in it is really good for calming the skin and preventing it from any breakouts. It is especially good for my oily skin. It retails for £3.59 and you can buy it HERE

Clean & Clear Exfoliating Daily Wash
I use this about 3 times a week and its great for a gentle exfoliator to unblock pores and keep your skin looking healthy. It leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft as well. Its also really good if you have any spots on your face as it helps clear any breakouts. It retails for £2.99 and you can buy it HERE

Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Lotion and Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser
I use the cleansing lotion at night as it is great for removing any last bits of makeup on your skin. You can really see the results on the cotton pad when you wipe your face as well! I use the blackhead clearing cleanser in the morning as it refreshes my skin and helps remove any blackheads around my nose and on my T zone. You can buy the cleansing lotion HERE for £2.99 and the blackhead clearing cleanser HERE for £3.50

Superdrug Tea Tree Facial Scrub
I use this scrub about 1-2 times a week. The natural tea tree and peppermint oils exfoliate dead skin cells and remove dirt and oil from my face. It also helps prevent spots. I have found that when I use this you can feel a refreshing tingling sensation which is great as you can feel it working. The granules are not too harsh on your face which means that you can use it as often as you want to. You can buy this HERE at Superdrug for £2.99

Superdrug Tea Tree Moisturizer
I use this moisturizer daily after I have washed my face. This moisturizer helps prevent shine as it has a non- greasy formula. It also is spot fighting, which is great for teenage skin. It easily absorbs into my skin and feels matte to. It contains aloe vera which also helps calm any redness on your face. When I apply this I can feel a nice cooling sensation on my skin and is great for the morning to wake me up. You can buy this HERE in Superdrug for £2.99

These are the products that I use on my face regularly and I recommend them for oily spot prone skin

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer & Camera Ready BB Cream Review

Hi everyone, so today I though I would review some Smashbox samples that I received from my work experience at Boots. I've never tried any Smashbox products before so I was very excited when I recieved these.
Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream (Light) 7.1ml I was excited to receive this as I have never tried any BB creams before. It says that it has SPF 35 which is great for the summer. On the Boots website it claims that this product, primes, perfects, hydrates, protects and controls oil. I found this BB cream to be quite dewy, which meant that it wouldn't be great for my oily skin. Also the shade Light I found was a bit to orange looking for me. I think the shade Fair would have suited me better. Nevertheless, this BB cream has a great coverage and stays on for a long time. You can purchase the full size product of this HERE for £27.

Smashbox Photo Finish Oil- Free Foundation Primer 7.1ml  The next sample I recieved was a foundation primer. I new this would be great for my oily skin in the summer. This claims to work for oily, acne prone and sensitive skin. When I first applied this the texture felt very matte and smooth. It absorbed quickly into my skin. Normally my face starts to go oily after 5 hours but even after then my face was still matte and there was minimal shine. I am impressed by this product as it works well for my skin type. You can purchase the full size of this HERE for £25

Its a hot pink/ light red shade and looks great for summer. It lives up to its name and dries pretty quickly! I applied two coats which was enough. The brush is quite wide which allows easy application. Overall I would rate this nail varnish 9/10

July Wishlist!

This is my first ever wishlist! I have selected items from fashion, beauty and makeup. Hope you enjoy

Mint Green Crop Top - Topshop I am in love with everything mint green at the moment! Its such a pretty colour for summer. I also wear a lot of crop top with highwaisted shorts, so this top would be perfect for me.

Denim Skater Skirt - Topshop I have seen everyone wearing this skirt, its so popular. It would go with everything and is a great alternative to wearing shorts in the summer. You could also wear it in the daytime and for BBQ's or nights out.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash  This has been raved about so much and I would love to try it. I love Soap & Glory and their body scrub as it smells amazing!

Maybelline Baby Lips This is a new release in the UK from America and I have seen its on the Boots website. They have so many different types, I need to try all of them!

Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara I am a sucker for Maybelline mascaras, they are really good. Although they are quite expensive for a mascara but they are definitely worth every penny. This is Maybellines new release with a gel formula. It looks different to their other mascaras so I might have to try it soon

Revlon Colorstay Foundation Oily/combination   I have heard many great things from this foundation. I have quite oily skin and many foundation that I have tried have not worked for me. Its quite pricey, around the £10 mark but I might give it a try!

MAC Angel Lipstick I Review

After hearing about the hype for MAC products I decided to cave in and buy my first one. I chose a lipstick as they are a great MAC product to start off with in your collection. I bought this lipstick a few months ago when they were £13.50 on the MAC website (now they are £15!) I decided to go for a MAC Angel lipstick. I've heard angel is a very popular shade in the beauty community so I decided to give it a go.

Angel is a light pink shade which is perfect for use in everyday. It can go well with any sort of outfit and is great for both daytime and night time makeup. We can see that it is also a Frost finish. This means that it gives off a lot of colour and has a slight shimmer and shine finish. Although the shimmer effect is not very noticeable when on the lips.

The formula is very smooth and creamy which means it applies effortlessly when on the lips. Its also very moisturizing and doesn't dry out your lips. The colour stays on the lips for a long time which is also great to. This MAC lipstick comes with  slight vanilla smell to it which is very subtle.

Overall Angel by MAC is one of my favourite lipsticks. I would love to try more MAC products, especially the paint pots. However I do feel that £13.50-£15 is a lot for one lipstick, so I would not be buying  a lot of them. Its a great colour for everyday and is very versatile.

Do you own any MAC lipsticks?

My Mascara Collection 2013

So over the years I have collected quite a few mascaras. Some of them I have bought myself and others were samples. I decided to do a blog post to show you my collection at the moment.

Overview of my collection

Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express Flared-  This was my first Maybelline mascara that I purchased. It retails for £7.99 in Boots.  It has a nice curved brush which helps curl your lashes. However I found that this mascara does clump quite a lot on the lashes. Overall i would not buy this again. You can purchase this mascara HERE
Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express- This was my second mascara from Maybelline that i purchased. I bought it when it first came out and when it was on offer for £5.99. I prefer this mascara to the falsies as it doesn't clump your lashes as much. The brush is rubber and has very small bristles which stops your lashes from clumping. However I have found the formula to be quite watery which means it dries quite quickly on the lashes. I would buy this again if it was on offer. You can purchase this mascara HERE

Rimmel Max Bold Curves - This is my most oldest mascara that i own and i probably should throw it away! I have found this mascara to be way to clumpy due to its big brush. It doesn't curl my lashes nor thickens them. I would never buy this mascara again. You can purchase this mascara HERE

NYC High Definition Volume- I bought this mascara off of fragrancedirect.co.uk as it was on offer for around £1.99. At first I disliked it due to it being very clumpy. However after a few months I have started to like it and use it more often. It separates lashes really well and is quite cheap. I would buy this mascara again.

Natural Collection WaterGuard -  I bought this mascara as it was only £1.99! I wasn't expecting amazing results but I was proven wrong. This mascara is my favourite. It doesn't clump your lashes, it thickens and lengthens them. However I wouldn't say this mascara is waterproof. I use it for everyday use and is a great mascara. I would buy this again. You can purchase this mascara HERE

Benefit They're Real-  I'm sure alot of you have heard about this mascara as it has been raved about so much in the blogging and youtube community. This is only a small bottle of it and I got it in the Glamour magazines earlier this year. It features a sturdy rubber brush. I liked this mascara but I wouldn't say that it was amazing. First of all this mascara is near the £20 mark, so its not cheap. I do like the style of the wand. However I prefer mascaras that don't have rubber wands. You can purchase this mascara HERE

Benefit BAD Gal Lash- Again, i received this in a Glamour magazine last year. I really enjoyed this mascara because of the size of the brush. The brush helps to lengthen your lashes and really defines them well. I prefer this mascara to the Benefit they're real. I would purchase this mascara in the full size. You can purchase this mascara HERE

N07 Extreme Lash- I received this mascara in a gift set that I got from n07 a while ago. This mascara is okay but not brilliant. First of all it doesn't thicken your lashes. But it does lengthen them well. Also this mascara dried up pretty quickly when I wasn't using it. I would not purchase this mascara in the full size. You can buy this mascara HERE

N07 Intense Volume- I enjoyed this mascara as I like the brush. Although it is a very basic type of brush, it works well on the lashes. It doesn't clump. Also it does volumise your lashes well due to the bristles being quite close together. I would purchase this mascara. You can buy this mascara HERE

Clinique High Impact- I haven't seen this mascara being raved about a lot in the beauty community. I like this mascara as it is similar to the n07 intense volume. The formula is quite thick and lengthens your lashes well. It also curls them very well. I would purchase this mascara. You can buy this mascara HERE

N07 Lash 360- I found this mascara very intriguing due to the brush looking quite different to normal brushes. The brush looks quite clumped when taking it out of the bottle. It does clump on the lashes, i have found. Although, it does curl the lashes well. I would not buy this mascara again.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post!
